JSV compressed coco peat, also known as coir pith or coir dust, is a natural, eco-friendly growing medium made from the fibrous husks of coconuts. It is a byproduct of the coconut industry and is processed, dried, and compressed into compact blocks or bricks for easy storage and transportation. When hydrated, these blocks expand to form a lightweight, soil-like substrate that is ideal for plant growth.

Coco peat is renowned for its excellent water retention, aeration, and nutrient-holding capabilities, making it a popular choice among gardeners, home farmers, and commercial agricultural operations.

Benefits of JSV Coco Peat

How to Use JSV Coco Peat

  • 1. Hydrate the Coco Peat Block
    • Place the compressed coco peat block or brick in a large container.
    • Add 4-5 liters of water per kg of coco peat.
    • Let it soak for 15-30 minutes until it fully expands into soft, fluffy peat.
  • 2. Fluff and Break Apart
    • Use your hands or a small tool to loosen the expanded coco peat.
    • Remove any large fibers or debris if needed.
  • 3. Use It Alone or Mix with Soil
    • For Potting : Mix with soil and compost in a 1:1:1 ratio.
    • For Seed Starting : Use pure coco peat or mix with vermicompost.
    • For Hydroponics : Use as-is or blend with perlite or vermiculite.
  • 4. Plant and Water
    • Add to pots or garden beds.
    • Plant seeds or seedlings and water well. Coco peat retains moisture while allowing airflow to roots.
