JSV coir husk chips, or coco chips, are small, shredded pieces of coconut husks used as a sustainable alternative to traditional soil. They are made by cutting coconut husks into uniform pieces, washing them to remove salts and excess tannins, and then drying them for optimal use. Coir husk chips are ideal for orchids, succulents, adeniums, cacti, anthuriums, and other plants that thrive in well-aerated and well-drained soils, providing excellent moisture retention and aeration.

How to Use JSV Coir Husk Chips
- 1. Soak Before Use
- Place the dry coir chips in a bucket and soak them in water for 30-60 minutes.
- Let them expand and soften. Drain excess water before use.
- 2. Use in Potting Mix
- Mix coir chips with soil, compost, or other media.
- A typical mix could be : 40% coir chips + 30% compost + 30% perlite or vermicompost.
- 3. Use as Mulch or Top Layer
- Spread coir chips on top of the soil in pots or garden beds to retain moisture and reduce weed growth.
- 4. Use in Hydroponics or Orchids
- Coir chips can be used directly as a growing medium for orchids or in hydroponic systems due to their excellent drainage and aeration.
